Jose Villagra is the Project Manager for the New England eConsult Network Project, a multi-site demonstration project focused on connecting Primary Care Providers and Specialists via electronic consultations. In this role his responsibilities include coordinating all project activities, achieving multi-stakeholder participation, developing an implementation plan and evaluation methodology, data collection and management strategies and training of project participants on the eConsults workflow.
Before joining CHC (June 2014), Jose worked over 9 years in Microsoft Licensing's Americas Operating Center managing a variety of programs for corporate and public sector customers. The most recent programs were Microsoft's multi-billion dollar Software Assurance Benefits for North and Latin America, a program whose infrastructure ensures benefits are delivered to customers and partners are reimbursed for services provided on behalf of Microsoft. He also managed corporate and government Volume Licensing programs (Select/Select Plus). For these and other programs, he was responsible for program budgets, workflow design and training of channel partners. His project management experience also includes designing and implementing telecommunications fiber optics data networks in Mexico and throughout Brazil living in Rio de Janeiro over 3 ½ years in an expatriate assignment.
Jose holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from The George Washington University and has a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and enjoys all things international.
