Lauren Bifulco, MPH

Lauren Bifulco is a Research Associate at the Weitzman Institute and the Project Manager for the Breakthrough Series Pain and Opioid Management Collaborative, which combines participation in Project ECHO® sessions with involvement in a quality improvement learning series designed to promote the adoption of best practices for treatment of pain and opioid addiction. She also provides project coordination support for Maine Chronic Pain Collaborative 2 and Transforming Primary Care: Improving LGBT Outcomes. Lauren is also involved with numerous other research projects and proposals at Weitzman, including data reporting and analysis for current projects and grant seeking and proposal preparation for future ones. Prior to Weitzman Institute, Lauren was a business analyst and project manager at Prometheus Research, a data management services company in New Haven, CT. While at Prometheus, Lauren assisted with overseeing data quality and integrity of information that was collected as part of multi-site longitudinal autism research studies. Lauren obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut in Biology and a Master of Public Health degree from Southern Connecticut State University. During her time as a graduate student, Lauren completed a graduate assistantship focused on student mental health at SCSU and a nutritional research internship at the Yale-Griffin Prevention research center.
